There will be times in life
when you must walk the path alone
no one can come with you
It won't be a choice
the path will narrow so harrowingly before you
you can only place one foot in front of the other
you must use all of your focus
and you cannot look back
what is left behind
is gone

As I move in this world God
knowing I don't understand
unsure at times of my footing
I draw close to you
praying my choices are in line with your will
asking for your protection
asking to please have mercy on me

Life is one of suffering
we are all suffering on some level
to be human
is to suffer
so let us discover who we are
when we are stripped bare

The key is in the softening
no matter how the situation appears
the deep pains only visible to you
as well as the blessings that flow like a spring
do not harden, block, run, numb
soften to life
allow the moment to reach you
to touch your being
it is all meant to be a gift

Life can be heartbreaking
we suffer tremendous losses
Yet the soul has tremendous fortitude
to press on
to start again

Everything is dipped in your light God...
Your hand beautifully woven through it all

Let me see myself
as you see me God
through your eyes
beautiful
radiant
perfect

Do not rely on anyone for a Great Love...
Great Love is first born from within

That I am open enough
clear enough
to hear your call
and answer it
