On my dying day
I take nothing with me
It's me meeting my maker
Me answering to what I put forth in the world
Me answering to my own spirit
Looking myself in a crystal clear mirror
Have I chosen a path of light
Did I do my best to live unburdened
How lightly did I tread
How much harm did I cause
Have I burned up completely
Like the warrior I have always been

Like the warrior
-
If you think upon how deep your pain has been
at certain times in your life...
how you have braved it...
Just think how you can experience love in equal measure
-
Do what you love
-
When you decide
to fully trust life
fully trust in divine workings
something beautiful happens
fear vanishes
the heart becomes a still pond
clear
calm
undisturbed

Grateful
in case i have not said it lately
in case i have forgotten
thank you for the miracle of this life
for this body
for this wild ride
for the chance to discover who i am
for the births
for the deaths
for all that it means
to be alive

meant to be
Sometimes you travel a path
you get to a destination
you thought would be home
you were so sure of it
only to find the opposite is true
This is not a failure
Be strong in who you are
to know
you must keep going
until your soul feels at peace
that’s when you know
you have arrived
to where you are meant to be
-
They don't need to understand you
They don't need to understand your why
Only you do
-
You have everything you need
Now it's just a matter of believing in yourself
-
we all have our plights in life
that break our hearts
it is the human experience
how fragile we all are
yet let us remember
how beautiful it is
to be alive
to feel
to be broken open
-
You may not be able to see it now
You may be in the thick of it
But keep going
Your story is epic
You'll see
-
Fall in love whenever you can
-
Lost and wandering
searching searching
for home
the only conclusion i find
it can only be
within me
-
Mountain
Let me be a mountain
unshakable
unmovable
strength that reaches into the clouds
quiet sturdy confidence
timeless and forever
the beginning
and the end
Yet wise enough
to let love be my air
to kiss and dance with my leaves
in all of my seasons
