Life calls us to be tremendously brave
Braver than we want to be sometimes
Tested beyond what we think we are capable of
"Let me see who you are" life demands

We know what we are capable of
Way before we enter this life
Our belief in ourselves is strong enough to know
We can face the things we are facing

We can rise
And we shall


I wrote this on a day where I felt myself shrinking, wavering in the face of one of my greatest challenges.  I wasn't sure if I was brave enough that day.  Or the days to come.  I didn't want to decide.  I was afraid I'd get the answer wrong.  I was afraid I would betray myself.

I wrote this to remind me who I am.  To encourage me on the days I can't seem to find my courage.

Dreams

Let the dream come to you
Let it gently nudge you awake in the wee hours of the morning
Listen to its whispers
Let it invite you to play like your childhood best friend
Go play with great abandon

Dreams come to us
They wish to live
They float on the breeze and enter our hearts
They are meant for us
Only we know their musings, their depth, their beauty
It is up to us to nurture them
To set them free
To let them fulfill their own destiny

Writing is my native tongue.  I have written for every reason in my life. To heal from deep wounds, living and surviving childhood emotional neglect and abuse, generational trauma, to express joy, to see myself through darkness, to celebrate how beautiful life is.  How simple and pure.  I used to write just for me. Now I share, let you in, because I feel it may be helpful. Maybe you will see yourself in these writings too.  Whatever you take away, know you're worth every step of your incredible journey to the greatest of heights.
