The way we all deserve

I've had enough of playing small
Of being silent
Of hiding in the dark
This life is precious
And I don't know how long I am here
Though my fear is completely paralyzing
Every day let me take a baby step
To speak 
To show my face
To embody the space I hold
I pray for courage
Because I'll be damned if I don't live this life the way I deserve to

Writing is my native tongue.  I have written for every reason in my life. To heal from deep wounds, living and surviving childhood emotional neglect and abuse, generational trauma, to express joy, to see myself through darkness, to celebrate how beautiful life is.  How simple and pure.  I used to write just for me. Now I share, let you in, because I feel it may be helpful. Maybe you will see yourself in these writings too.
